- Frilly dresses and sundresses
- Spandex or anything skin-tight
- Leather
- Team color combination of the potential employer -- "too cheesy"
- Formal or evening wear
- Anything goth, punk, or otherwise "alternative" in style
- Gang symbols
- Sport clothing, ski clothing, sweats, etc.
- Badly worn clothing
- Anything with stains, holes, etc.
- Anything that wrinkles easily
- Anything that shows sweat easily
- Anything sexy
- Wild prints, spangles, flashy or otherwise outrageous clothing.
- Things that don't fit
- Underwear that shows unnecessarily
- Sunglasses
- Too much jewelry
- Obvious perfume, cologne, aftershave
- Too much make-up

- Your midriff
- Tattoos
- Unusual or excessive piercings
- Your feet
- Cuts or infections
Shoe no-nos
- nothing too casual, too pointy, too high-heeled, too flashy
- no tennis shoes, sandals, flip-flops
- nothing scuffed, worn, runover-at-the-heel
- nothing you can't walk or stand in for long periods
