Compact Discs replaced cassette tapes for audio recordings of books and
other library materials such as this introduction cassette to the
Canadian
National Institute for the Blind's Library for the Blind.
This item probably doesn't look too unfamiliar: a manual pencil sharpener.  
Almost surprisingly, these are still seen in classrooms everywhere!

A Memorex 5.25-inch Flexible (floppy) Disk: Double Sided and Double
Density.  This type of disk was introduced circa 1978 and replaced the
8-inch floppy disks.
