Order books were used to keep track of the items the library ordered. This
book dates from circa 1900 and does not appear to have been filled in
completely. Many of the entries only have the author and title entered, yet
there were columns for author, title, place & publisher, year, volume, size,
binding, from, list price, net price, received, and remarks. Perhaps a new
system was adopted shortly after this order book had been begun.
